Plant Based Minutes (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website plantbasedminutes.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve written it to be readable — no dense legalese where plain language will do.

  • Usage & device data — like most websites, we collect aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics about how the Site is used (for example, which pages are viewed and general device or browser type). This helps us improve the Site.

  • Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, security, and privacy-first analytics.

  • Email delivery provider — we use a transactional email service to send newsletters and replies. Your email address is stored and processed by this provider solely to deliver the messages you have requested.

  • Affiliate networks (e.g., Amazon Associates) — some links on the Site are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer may set its own cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

  • Embedded video & social platforms — pages that link to or embed content from platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, or Facebook may allow those platforms to collect data under their own privacy policies.

Your Choices & Rights

You are always in control of your information:

  • Unsubscribe — every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time.

  • Access, correction, or deletion — you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email us.

  • Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights over your personal data. We honor these requests regardless of location.

Data Retention

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed, and delete or anonymize it after you unsubscribe or request deletion, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Google API Services & Limited Use

Plant Based Minutes uses Google APIs to publish our own short videos to our own YouTube channel, @PlantBasedMinutes. When we do this, we sign in as the owner of that channel and request only the youtube.upload permission, which allows uploading a video and nothing else.

Plant Based Minutes’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • We access Google user data only to upload videos we produced to our own YouTube channel.
  • We do not use Google user data to serve advertising.
  • We do not sell, rent, or transfer Google user data to third parties.
  • We do not allow humans to read Google user data, except where required for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or where you have given explicit consent.
  • We do not use Google user data to train generalised AI or machine learning models.
  • The only credential we retain is an OAuth token for our own channel, stored on our own infrastructure and revocable at any time from the Google Account permissions page.

This integration does not access, request, or receive data belonging to visitors of this website. Reading this site never requires a Google sign-in.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
